Your probably wondering what the heck this is about. Why would someone do a Manga G.I.Joe comic? Well it's simple really. I'm a fan of Anime first of all. I do like certain styles and such that are done. Also with all the popularity of Anime, I thought why not. I wouldn't like to see an official show aired on tv, and really if a fan project like this is made, Hasbro probably would decide never to bother.
Now the main reason behind this is that it's part of many projects I'm working on. This is just a part of something bigger that I'm doing. I can't go into detail, but let me just say, the action figures will be the biggest part, and I'm not talking about selling. This is something going in a portfolio. I had thought I'd just do a 1 issue comic and let it go at that along with the figures, but I decided that G.I.Joe fans might get a kick out of it and so I'm putting the comic online.
I'm no Manga writer, so I am borrowing heavy ideas and page layouts from pre-existing things out there. Most of all Gundam and Neon Genesis. I'm actually keeping the pages and panel layouts exactly as I see them in the comics I decide I can work with. The difference is, I'm putting in my characters instead. It makes for an easier way to get my work done while keeping it as true to Manga as possible.
That's really all there is to it. Most of all fans are getting a new G.I.Joe comic to read. The best part about it is that it's free!
